The Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel will be lit Dodger blue on Friday, January 8, to celebrate the life of Los Angeles legend Tommy Lasorda.
This morning, The Dodgers announced the passing of the legendary Tommy Lasorda, Dodger player, coach and manager. Lasorda led the Dodgers to two World Series championships in the 1980s and led Team USA to win a gold medal at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney Australia, the first MLB manager to do so.
Pacific Park will celebrate the life of this iconic Angeleno with a special lighting of the Pacific Wheel. Tonight, the wheel will brightly shine in Dodger Blue and run a special message for the Dodgers family.
This special lighting event will take place on the evening of Friday, January 8. The Ferris wheel lights can be seen from dusk until 11:35 PM each evening. You can see the light program online at www.dev.pacpark.enki.tech/live.
