The Australian Open is a tennis tournament held annually every January in Melbourne, Australia. The tournament is the first of the four Grand Slam tennis events held each year, preceding the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. The first time the Australian Open was held was back in 1905, so this will mark 115 Years of the Australian Open. However, due to the event not taking place several years, this will be only the 98th Edition.
Last year Novak Djokovic won in the Menโs Singles, and Naomi Osakaโs won at the Womenโs Singles. This yearโs top three seeds for the menโs section are Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Rodger Federer, with a very little surprise. The womenโs top seeds are Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber, and Caroline Wozniacki. This year will be the farewell performance of future Hall-of-Famer and Grand Slam title holder Wozniacki.
