The Pier is getting into the fall season with spooky holiday lights, Dia de los Muertos art, and tasty autumn treats.
When the sun starts to set a little earlier and the marine layer starts to linger around a little later, you know that Autumn has begun at the Santa Monica Pier. Although the rides and carousel remain closed at the moment, our shops and restaurants are still open for business and eager to celebrate harvest time with you. Start planning your next visit and consider some of these cool offers and events happening this fall at the Santa Monica Pier.
Candy Corn Cotton Candy
Try Pacific Park’s newest cotton candy creation: Candy Corn on a Stick. The new flavor served from Pacific Park’s treat cart is a towering cone of spun sugar in brown, orange, and white flavored like the classic Halloween treat.
Fall Flavors Announced at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Coffee Bean’s seasonal teas and coffee drinks are now available. Enjoy several delicious flavors of chai tea, including Pumpkin Spiced Chai Latte, Dark Chocolate Chai Latte, and Chai Latte. The all-new Maple Ice Blended is a sweet treat perfect for autumn days, topped with extra maple sauce and maple crunchlets. And don’t forget to put on your coziest sweater and grab a classic Pumpkin Latte.
Spooky Ghost Fly Across the Pacific Wheel
Catch ghosts, vampires, and 80-foot pumpkins out and about this Halloween at Pacific Park. The Pacific Wheel Ferris wheel will display a fun and spooky light program from Saturday October 24th to Monday, November 2nd. The lights can be seen from dusk to midnight. If you can’t make it to the Pier, be sure to check out the live-streaming webcams.
Under-the-Sea Halloween Decorations
Heal the Bay’s Aquarium under the Pier is celebrating the season with a festive “sea life graveyard” outside on their patio. The decorations will be viewable for free Halloween weekend. Find the aquarium under the Pier bridge on Ocean Front Walk.
Pier Prize Card
You can win cool Santa Monica prizes and gift cards just by shopping and dining at the Santa Monica Pier this fall. All you need to do is visit any participating Santa Monica Pier business and pick up a Pier Prize Card. Get your card stamped for every purchase you make at the Pier of $10 or more. Get 3 stamps and enter your card into the drawing. Promotion runs now through November 8.
Outdoor Fitness Classes on the Pier Deck
Since gyms and fitness studios are still closed by order of the County Health Department, local Santa Monica studios and instructors have brought their classes to the Pier’s open-air deck to take advantage of the sea breeze and sweeping ocean views. Choose from classes offered by Pure Barre, SoHo Dance and Az I Am Yoga. See a full listing at santamonicapier.org.
In addition to these treats and celebrations, the Pier’s boardwalk, fishing platforms, and decks are all open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and most Pier shops and restaurants have re-opened with normal hours. At this time the rides at Pacific Park, Playland Arcade and historic merry-go-round remain closed.
