Pacific Park and the Santa Monica Pier, in accordance with the State of California, Los Angeles County, and City of Santa Monica guidelines, fully reopened to guests on Tuesday, June 15th 2021. For the first time since mid-March 2020, everyone is welcome back on the Santa Monica Pier rides, can play games with family and friends, and enjoy the view of the California coastline while strolling up and down the boardwalk.

Are the Santa Monica Pier rides open?

Yes! Pacific Park reopened rides on April 2nd, 2021 after a 13-month closure. See ticket prices and buy online at dev.pacpark.enki.tech/tickets.

Can I go on the Santa Monica Pier rides if I’m visiting from out of state/not a California resident?

Yes! As of June 15th, all guests can once again ride the 12 rides inside the amusement park on the Santa Monica Pier. Prior to this date, access to the rides was limited to in-state visitors only by the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy.

Do I need to make reservations to go on the rides on the Santa Monica Pier?

Reservations are not required to go on rides at Pacific Park or visit the Pier. The pier is open and accessible from 6 AM – 10 PM daily. Hours for ride operations can be found at dev.pacpark.enki.tech/hours.

What time does the Santa Monica Pier close?

The Santa Monica Pier is open to the public at 6AM and closes nightly at 10PM. Public safety officials continue to monitor the Pier and may close portions or all of the Pier on a temporary basis with limited notice. Please note that the North Beach Stairs located next to Bubba Gump are closed until further notice. Prior to visiting Pacific Park, please confirm ride operating hours at www.dev.pacpark.enki.tech/hours.

How do I get into the rides area on the Santa Monica Pier?

Guests can enter Pacific Park through both the North gate by the food court on the main boardwalk of the Pier or the East gate behind Pier Burger and the upper parking deck.

Individual rides range from $5-$12 per ride. Save and play all day with an Unlimited Ride Wristband. Wristbands cost $25-$20 for ages 7 & under and $45-$40 for ages 8 & over. What do I do if I have an Annual Pass/donation certificate that expired while the Park was closed?

All Annual Passes that were active prior to March 16th, 2020 have been automatically extended to expire on May 2, 2022 – the amount of time the Park was closed. Pass holders do not need to get a new pass printed, but should you experience any issues at the Park, please visit the Guest Services window at the ticket booth. If you have an expired donation certificate, please e-mail guestservices@pacpark.com for more information.
