Overview

Starbucks, the most-recognized national coffee chain, has landed right next to the Santa Monica Pier on Ocean Front Walk. Starbucks is known for their lattes, bold-roasted blends and frappucinos. The brand was started in a single location in Seattle, WA in 1971 and has since expanded to over 31,000 stores worldwide. The name Starbucks was inspired by the book Moby Dick, which evoked the romance of the high seas and the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders. Their mission is to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time.

Starbucks is well-known for not only their quick service coffee and tea drinks, but their selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well as sweet pastries. Starbucks is new to Ocean Front Walk, opening in mid-2020 and is located right next to Big Dean’s at the bottom of the Santa Monica Pier.
